Is there a way to get rid of those hoses(intake to valve cover, intake to bcs...)? Im planing on doing something and it would be easier if they didnt connect to it. I have no clue what there purpose is. I know you can put a breather filter thing on the one on the valve cover but what about the other 2?
Thanks,
Mike

If you have a manual boost controller you can just take the hoses right off the stock boost control solenoid. It won't hurt anything as long as you have your own boost control method.

Didn't Joe remove your bcs at the dyno fest? Just remove the hose from the valve cover and block it off (the nipple on the intake) so you do not have a vaccum leak. Route the rest of the line to the ground or get a breather filter.
Remove the line from the stock intake and block off that line also. Pull the line off the intake pipe, pull the bcs out of the car, and block off the nipple on the T fitting. You could either block it off or get rid of the T and get a hose mender. Neither line serves a usefull purpose and they both can be removed easily from the intake pipe. Sounds like your "plans" are a intake pipe huh.

You might not want to take the BCS solenoid out of the car, on a 2g it might give you a CEL, just remove the lines as the others said and cap the nipples on the BCS off with some caps.

No it doesn't give a CEL, I had a 2G and I took all that shit out and didn't get any ill effects from it.

I think he was referring to if you disconnect the BCS and remove IT instead of just taking off the lines. It doesn't cause any problems leaving it in there without anything but the wires hooked up to it. And it doesn't take up that much room.

As far as if it does or doesnot cause a CEL, I don't know. I left mine in the car with the wires hooked up and have had no problems.
