FWD vs AWD for Autocrossing

Well, what does everyone think on that? I have my FWD Laser sitting out back, waiting for me to get some money for it, and I'm getting this big urge to go autocrossing. So which do you think I should use, the Laser with it's FWD platform, or sell that shell and put the motor into an AWD?

Is the added traction really worth it on Autocross tracks, or is the less weight of a fwd more benifitial?

Re: FWD vs AWD for Autocrossing

the AWD is far superior, especially with added power. the ability to use the drivetrain as an advantage is really the only thing that will give the the laser a fighting chance. FWD+open diff=massive wheel spin
