DSM Link

hey,
i have a 97 Gst and im looking to start the slow modifications ... i have the opportunity to get a DSM link , is it worth it for me to? all i have done is replace gaskets, cleaned the throttle body, IAC valve, Maf sensor, and fuel filter.. nothing too big. but i know my idle is off cause i messed with it a couple months ago(stupid me).. is it worth getting right now and what all can i do with it exactly and what model would be best for me to get?

Re: DSM Link

Probably the best modification you can do to these cars.

Re: DSM Link

You need a 1995 Eprom ECU, or they might be able to put a daughterboard in your existing ECU, I can't remember, their website will give the details. After that, you need some knowledge of tuning, and almost for sure a wideband to tune with. If you're lazy like me, you just bring it to Shane and get it done right the first time. I like building engines, but I wouldn't want to have to rebuild one due to blowing it with a bad tune. Besides that, Shane can tune it better in a half hour on the dyno than I could with a week of street tuning.

Re: DSM Link

Sorry, didn't see you're in CA, I'd suggest finding a good tuner in your area familiar with ECMlink.

Re: DSM Link

DSMLink, by far, is the best investment you can make for any DSM.

Re: DSM Link

That would be something the local tuners could answer.

But i have to agree link is the best mod you can do.
