Re: New problem as of yesterday, where to start?

Good idea! The vac lines run right over the exhaust manifold, I'll give that a check probably tomorrow.

Re: New problem as of yesterday, where to start?

I checked the vacuum lines and I found a crack in the hose going to the bottom nipple of the waste gate - exactly where it would cause a problem such as the one I was experiencing. So, I checked fluids, drained the catch can, re-lashed the one noisy lifter and took it out for a spin. It wasn't totally warmed up, but it hiccuped under just a little load a couple times, so I decided it wasn't a super idea to get into boost.

Could a bad spark plug or plug wire cause something like this? It's pretty random.

A bad plug or wire could possibly be the problem, wouldn't be a bad idea to check them all. Another thing you could try is to ohm out your coil packs.

think you might need to route your plug wires a little further away from the turbo? They do follow those vac lines, right over the turbo

Well, went out and tested it today after helping a friend work on his car, and it worked fine. No more problems. I love conquest because they fix themselves. This isn't the first time.
