New Jay Racing Pro Series Fuel pumps

This may help a lot of well you guys, that are looking to stay single pump or just need more fuel in a classic package.
He states on his version of the 255 that it will outflow the bosch 044, I believe they come with a 1yr warranty also.

http://www.jayracing.com/products/Pr...nouncement.htm

The biggest news is the new Pro Series 044, same external dimensions as the Bosch Motorsports 044 pumps, but this Pro Series 044 delivers more fuel, higher pressures, and draws less current due to the latest in engineering design, materials, and precision manufacturing. This same newer technology has also been applied to the popular Walbro 342 intank fuel pump to provide a RELIABLE alternative to a drop in fuel pump upgrade that again delivers more fuel, higher pressures, and draws less current. Along with these new fuel pumps, we have also purchased a digital fuel pump test bench, fully digital with data logger option. 5 channels displayed, flow, amp, volt, temp and pressure, adjustable pressure and volts to test or bed in ANY fuel pump, set up fuel regulators, fuel systems. This is UKAS calibrated and we will be doing comparison testing to back up these claims.

Not a bad option for $150, stock replacement. 270lph @ 5 bar, that's about 30psi boost for DSMs.

Nice! I would def consider one of these if trying to push the limits of a normal 255. Can't wait to see the flow testing! Hopefully they test all the way up to 18v

Re: New Jay Racing Pro Series Fuel pumps

I'd be interested in his "255" replacement that he claims flows 270 @ 5bar. But nowhere does he mention the voltage at which it flows that much. I bet a Walbro 255 flows that much at 18V.

The picture of his flow bench shows 13.5, but is that really what it was tested at I wonder? If so, that's awesome. Looking at the Walbro spec sheet, a Walbro 255hp @ 13.5V and 5 bar would flow somewhere around 205lph and draw around 10.5A or so.

hmm. Their Bosch knock-off sounds nice. If I ever need a replacement then I'll get one. It uses the same fittings and everything.

They don't have the flow testing machine yet. It's good to see that these pumps are actually going to come out, Jay has been talking about them for a quite a while now.
