Re: Dsmgraveyard.com regrind cams?

http://www.deltacam.com/camshaftgrinding.php?p=3 Interesting video of the regrinding process.
I couldnt see paying HKS for their cams when there are plenty of regrinds making power.
Also being that they are cheap dont mean they wont make power. Even when it comes to those "ebay" intercooler cores. Why pay 200-300 per cam when you can buy pretty much the same ones for 200 for the set.

Re: Dsmgraveyard.com regrind cams?

So one you opponents of regrinds, care to explain your end? Cause so far, I haven't seen a reason why not to buy a set.

Re: Dsmgraveyard.com regrind cams?

if they have come around now and do work that would not be to bad of a deal. It is all from before that regrinds sucked big time. I still would not want to shim them to get reginds to work. I just like to bolt in and go. but hell if you did not have to shim them I would try a set for the wifes hatch for the price

So in order to run regrinds you just have to drop in washers under the lifters on the middle part of the head?

Re: Dsmgraveyard.com regrind cams?

I might just look into a set of regrinds, honestly I don't see why not. From what I've been reading, regrinds have came a long way from the crap that they have gotten in the past. I'll prob give delta a call and see what they have to say.

I guess Id have to find a picture... I don't know what all the parts are called on these heads. now that I think of it, don't the lifters automatically adjust cause of how the oil pressure system works?
