Timing Parts 6bolt - 7bolt. Are they the same?

I now have a 6bolt. Can I reuse my 7bolt crank sprocket as well as my 7bolt crank pulley on the 6bolt? Or are they all different? I have a 6bolt Crank Sprocket Backplate on the way, as well as the lower timing cover(for a 6bolt). I was wondering. Can I use my 7bolt Sprocket as well as the belt pulley or is that shit all different?

I'm hoping to get my engine in this week so any input is greatly appreciated

Thanks,

-SA

These are the parts I'm wondering about.

Re: Timing Parts 6bolt - 7bolt. Are they the same?

I've always interchanged parts and never had any issues. Not saying this is correct or not but it has always worked for me.

The only real difference I see is the back plate and the timing belt cover.

Make sure you set the motor to TDC when putting the backing plate on and the marks line up. If you put it on backwards you could bend some valves. It can go on either way, just make sure the way you put it on is correct.
