He took a picture of the dyno results board; once he wakes up from his drunken slumber I'm sure it will be posted.

I want to thank MAP, DB, and Brookdale Mitsu for their generosity in prize donations yet again! Also, 'Style bought some pretty cool stuff which shows your donations are hard at work for the group.

Wow what a freaking awesome time! Thanks to Modern Automotive Performance for hosting a kick-ass event. Thanks to everyone that came out and all of the other sponsors that donated prizes!

It's pretty widely known that MAP's dynojet dyno reads higher than DB's dyno dynamics, but I think we have been seeing mixed results with exactly how much difference there are. I saw about an 8% increase over my numbers at DB, while others saw upwards of 20%. With that said, we had a LOT of pretty high power cars! Mara's car made 562whp, then steve's made 561whp (which he called, btw) and he turned up the boost and made 582whp. Couple other people made 560whp, 520whp, 480whp, 465whp, etc. Seriously impressive turnout.

A respectful but giddy LOL at the muscle car guys that showed up talking big and put down less power than the stock turbo'd evos that get driven every day and don't sound nearly as retardedly bad-ass. More money should have been bet, I think

Anyways, here's the results board:

One thing, there's a $100 gift certificate that is owed to the person with the highest torque. I *think* that is steve hill (he made highest whp) but need to look back to see.

Also, if you dyno'd and want to get a copy of your dyno runs, please call MAP and give them your email address, they will be emailing out the dyno sheets since their printer broke.

More pics:

Poor mattD, he felt like crap all day!

slowboy (andrew) did a great job, he deserved his namechange! Coming soon!

Anna's car made 213whp, not too bad!

This made 560whp, but was bested by TWO 1G DSM's REPRESENT! Sounded nasty as hell though.

Namely this one (goatblower) and mara's 1G....the one in front of steve's car here made 480whp (SPNSALL4):

Re: 2008 MitsuStyle Fall Dyno Day - Sept 27th @ MAP

I saw a 15% increase vs. DB's dyno which I feel is pretty accurate since it was only a week apart and on the exact same tune (which isn't the case for most people). Heck, most cars can't even put down consistent power on the same dyno. For example, Jim seems to put down anywhere between 340 and 380 (partly due to changing E85 formulations) on DB's dyno depending on the day. Trying to compare dynos and finding a magic conversion number is nearly impossible; especially with all the changing circumstances that are involved. The best thing to do, and really the only accurate one that tells anything, is compare the numbers car-to-car from the same day!

He wasnt too pissed. He was looking for a lil higher number but oh well. That car should make more power than it does but he is still working out issues with it.

I saw exactly 18% increase on both HP and TQ. It was a good day, much more impressive numbers than a usual dyno day, even if you take into account the dyno differences.

Re: 2008 MitsuStyle Fall Dyno Day - Sept 27th @ MAP

I just wanted to thank everyone involve to put this dyno day together. I’ve never been big about putting my cars on the dyno, but I was shocked that my 1g talon that I call my “Truck” made 407 WHP. I bought this car from Anthony “DSM_421”. Before I purchased the car it made around 250WHP on the first dyno day this spring at DB. Since then I tossed in a second Walbro 255, 1600cc injectors, E85 in the tank, and some more boost.

Re: 2008 MitsuStyle Fall Dyno Day - Sept 27th @ MAP

That orange Camaro was sweet, a 468ci big block with Procharger running 12-13lbs of boost. And no, the owner did not have a mullet, I think those days are pretty much gone. A very nice car and well done all around.

I saw about a 12% difference from DB's dyno, although I'm not sure where my A/F was at since I didn't log and ran my own car on the dyno due to some shaking issues. My number seemed a bit low but I'll mess with it a bit on the street and see if my new tank of E85 is less than advertised. I really wanted that 600whp, I guess I should've brought the E98 and turned it up a bit.

Awesome time! Excellent food as well, thanks to everyone! I won some Kracka vents! Jenna won $100 towards DB Performance, I might just work my magic into getting that one

Oh Andrew, Jenna wants your dog

You could tell just by listening that the orange camaro was not running great when on the dyno... it was missfiring some, specially on the first 2 pulls...
