94 1G rear brakes

OK so I know that in 94 there was a diffrent rear brake setup that included a bit bigger calipers and vented rotors. Was there problems with this set up making DSM drop the things or what.

Just looking for the back story and wondering if I should even bother looking into putting this "larger" set on the rally car.

Thanks,
Dan Moore

Re: 94 1G rear brakes

I believe that was for cars made in 94, which would be the early 95's. They were vented I know. As far as I know, 91 - 94 is all the same for the rear.

Re: 94 1G rear brakes

My 94 Talon TSi (manufacture date 11/94) has solid rear rotors and vented fronts.

Re: 94 1G rear brakes

What I am actually wondering is if it would be worthwhile to "upgrade" to these vented rears if they actually fit on an earlier 1g.

Thanks for the replies.
