Re: Best plug wires?
Moved to electrical tech section since this might be useful to some newer people as well.
I know a lot of DSM guys like the Magnacore wires alot but I am sure there are quite a few others that are decent as well.

Re: Best plug wires?
I have always used Magnecores and never once had an issue. Some guys hate them though and swear by either Accell or Taylor.

Re: Best plug wires?
I have Accels and they work, which is kinda all that matters. They do their job... and look kinda perdy too (comes in blue, red, and yellow). They are about $50. DO NOT get el cheapo Autolites... mine broke off when i tried to pull the boot off the plug.

Re: Best plug wires?
I like the Taylors the best. Magnecores tend to burn a hole through the boot after a while and Accell's have a cheap boot that tears after a while. The Taylor's seem to be better.

Re: Best plug wires?
Anything but Magnecores, they suck. They are also not compatible with some aftermarket ignition boxes.

Re: Best plug wires?
Taylors; used a set for over 3 years and they were still perfect when I parted out the car and sold them.

Re: Best plug wires?
I've never had problems with ngk's, and I've used them on MANY platforms. Shane is right on the magnacores having issues with other ignition components as well as 'sucking' at times due to quality control issues of past, I hope . I've heard nothing but good things about the taylors.
And for chris:
Those damm oem ones seem to last a long time, as long as the car is near stock, they usually work just fine for years and years.

Re: Best plug wires?
Don't buy whatever generic brand AutoZone sells. And if you do, don't let Swanny anywhere near them! I think I am still rocking a set of Borg Warners from PepBoy's, they were the only place open and I needed a set, they have held up about 500 miles and 6 months sitting under the hood...... When I need to I will be buying Taylors.

Re: Best plug wires?
Had some Accel's but got rid of them cause they were leaking at the boot, like Jet said. Liked the new MSD conductors, but they are so "noisy", <even though they are suppose to be shieled> that they freeze up my DSMLINK's display while trying to tune. Verified that this is a issue up at dsmlink's forum and If I swap back to stocks it all works? Glad I got those MSD's off Ebay for $30 and didn't pay close to the insane $125 retail!

Re: Best plug wires?
I use Taylor 10.4mm wires and have had no troubles with them. Good wires IMO.

Re: Best plug wires?
Yes I have to agree. Magnecores suck. I've used NGKs with no problems. MSD wires I hear are also very good. I had one set.
