Cap Replacement for ECU?

My Vr4's fuel pump is cutting out and the ecu clicks before it dies. I've been told it's my ecu. Is there anyone that can replace the caps on my erpom ecu? If so, who? Thanks guys.

Re: Cap Replacement for ECU?

I know a guy that chips honda ecu's, I think he might work on other ecu's as well. His name is Tony, he runs Handcommand. His number is 6123868010. Give him a call, I know he is very knowledgable on fixing the honda ecu's.

Re: Cap Replacement for ECU?

I just sent mine to ECMTuning. I also had someone from LSE do mine once before. I couldn't find any commercial place that would touch my ECU.

I can do it, if you haven't already found someone/place. I need to dig up the CAPS, so let me know if you’re interested.

Re: Cap Replacement for ECU?

here's a picture of my ecu. finally got a chance to pull it out today... i'm assuming this is why my car doesn't like to stay running... is it toast or can it be salvaged? Thanks for the time.

Re: Cap Replacement for ECU?

I think that one is a bit beyond my ability. I haven't worked with any that were in that rough of shape.

Re: Cap Replacement for ECU?

You can try Terry P on the gvr4.org board. He fixed up my ECU for me. He's a good dude and won't screw you over.

There's a lot of acid damage on that board though. Don't be surprised if he says it can't be fixed.

If it's bad, you can find any ecu out of a turbo 5 speed other than a 1990.

Re: Cap Replacement for ECU?

Bringing this back from the dead. My 3000GT VR-4 had the clicking/dying problem, so I finally got around to pulling out the ECU, and this is what I found:

Is this fixable? And by anyone on there? MustGoFaster?
