2.4 out of a 2001 galant in a 2g?

So my buddy got rear ended the other day in his auto galant 2001 2.4 7bolt . He only wants around 450 for the motor and sensors and it only has 110,000 on it and runs perfect, can these be thrown in the 2gs no problem? Motor mounts match up, tranny bolt up, etc.. Don't really know too much about the 2.4 so any input is helpful. Thanks or if anyone on here wants it I can get it for them.

I can't remember if it's oriented like the 2G's, or the Evo's. I know the 2.4 block I used for the Evo I built was out of a 2001 Eclipse, should be about the same.

The 2001 Galant will be oriented like an Evo. So it wouldn't work in a 2G. But you could take the crank out of it and put it in a 2G 7-bolt for a 2.3l.

Will he sell the ECU from the car for cheap? I need one for my Galant.
