I don't know if this is basic tech or not but here goes. I have a 95 FWD slightly lowered and I was wondering what the best size, brand, etc. of drag slicks I should go with. I know they won't be cheap, but the less expensive the better. It would be greatly appreciated to have some input on this. Thanks.

I haven't had any experience with them yet but I have heard good things about Nitto 555 drag radials. Are you still running the stock wheels? If so, I would go with 235-55r 16's (if they make them in that size). Not sure if 245's will fit without rubbing. You want the largest tread width without rubbing.

He is looking for slicks not street tires.

You could run a 22" slick but you will probably be better off with a 24-24.5" in the long run. A 26" is going to be too much for the power your making. Check out M&H, Goodyead, Mickey Thompson, Hoosier, etc.

I run 24x9.2x15 M&H RaceMaster slicks on my 1G FWD and they work great.
I think I paid around $300 for the pair and mounted them on some 15" 99-02 Galant steelies.

I did pick up some wheel spacers from Red Rooster to keep them from rubbing the strut when they balloon out near the 1/8th mile mark though.
