Re: Clutch Question?

Sounds to me like your clutch master cyclinder is bad. Change that. Go under the dash and see if it is leaking where it enters the car.

BTW, you need more info when posting in the tech section. You didn't even say what year car, type, engine, mods ect. Read the rule buddy.

Re: Clutch Question?

Open the hood and look around. Is there even any fluid left in the clutch master? Did you open the hood to try and find where the smell is coming from? I know it sounds like I'm being a dick but you can't fix a car if you don't even start to try.

Re: Clutch Question?

I am thinking Throw out bearing nut im not too sure from your description, i just think if its whining when you step on the clutch then it could be the throwout bearing.

Re: Clutch Question?

Your clutch pedal doesnt make a difference if the car is off. You can put it into any gear you want. Try pushing the clutch in and opening the bleeder and see if any air comes out or if there is even pressure on the fluid and check to see if the slave moves. Also check the fluid level. Aslo Isnt there sometimes a problem with a 2600 and an old/warn out slave cylender(the rod not being long enough to push the fork far enough to push in the clutch).
