Re: Borg Warner Turbos
50 trim turbos are the best for 2.0, I've had B16G E316G, 50 trim on a 2.4, scm61, this HX35 in bolton (acts like a 50 trim).
I have read from a lot of members too that they agree 50 trim sized turbo is the best for street strip cars, low end enough for the street and on high boost enough for the track.
have you checked any PTE billet 50 trim things?

Re: Borg Warner Turbos
If you're really wanting 50trim sized, an S256 is supposed to be somewhat similar.

Yea I checked out a couple 50trims that I talked to you about in the SB the one day. I'm pretty set on a 50trim on a 2.0, just haven't decieded on which one yet.

PTE makes a super nice looking billet 5557, and another I can't think of right now. Go to EvoM and send Mike@awdmotorsports a pm, I talked to him about that turbo last fall and it sounds amazing. Otherwise a 68HTA would put down almost the same numbers, but faster spool and for cheaper.

Re: Borg Warner Turbos
I'm sorry, I forgot what the Classifieds and PMs are for. It won't happen again because I'm sure some asshole Admin will ban me for it.

Re: Borg Warner Turbos
anyone know if bw is planning to make vtg turbos for the aftermarket section? I was thinking with e85, it might be possible to push those type of turbos.

Re: Borg Warner Turbos
You can push anything... just a matter of how many parts you want to buy...

Re: Borg Warner Turbos
http://www.diesel-plus.com/turbo_sea...ner%20Airwerks
Nice link for anyone looking to get BW/Airwerks turbos directly, without going through BEP. Of course these will come in there standard exhaust housings however. No Mitsu or .70 T3 housings like BEP offers.
These suckers are fairly cheap.
One thing else that I have recently learned is BW turbos typically come with 270 thrust bearings. However BEP offers a 360 upgrade apparently.

Re: Borg Warner Turbos
Sweet mary and joseph, that is fucking cheap for those BW stuff.
Good find.
Boo their prices on Holsets though.

Re: Borg Warner Turbos
http://www.full-race.com/articles/bo...fr-turbos.html
Sounds like FR is working directly with BW and making some fancy new stuff. Interesting stuff I think. They are supposidely designed from the ground up, to incorporate all the latest and greatest technologies, but I'm sure you'll have to pay for it all in the end.
Interesting reading though I thought, and figured I'd share.
