4g63t in my mirage sedan? fwd.

so i have a mirage es with an auto. i've read on mirageforums.net but am not really understanding. if i want to swap in a 4g63t with a 5 speed, what should i use and what do i need as far as motor mounts, transmission, ecu, etc??

i'm looking at a fwd considering awd is way out of my budget.

http://www.mirageforums.net/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=15567

^ What I gathered from this is: Dsm motor, tranny on the forum above said 1.5l and 1.8l work, evo 1-3 motor mounts, ecu, wire harness, and sensors(I'm probably missing some stuff).

http://www.mirageforums.net/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=793

hope this helps!

Re: 4g63t in my mirage sedan? fwd.

A pm would have worked also or you could have looked at the coupe that I built. But any way
91-94 ecu
91-94 engine harness
Make a boom sling harness to go from mirage to dsm for the dash
2g block mount
2g upper engine mount
1.8 auto tranny moint
1.8 auto tranny frame rail mount
2g turbo fwd tranny
Mirage tranny roll stop mounts bolted to the 2g tranny
1g gsx front axels both sides

You also can use a 1g tranny with custom mounts. That is what I did to mount a awd 1g tranny in the 95 coupe.

It is not that hard of a swap to do.
It is a lot easyer with evo 1-3 wiring. (I have a engine, dash, engine bay harness laying around)
If you need more info on doing it just ask me.

4g61t will not tell you nothing at all that is just for 3g csm's not the 4g's

Re: 4g63t in my mirage sedan? fwd.

no one has done a auto swap

you can use a 6bolt or 7bolt
you need to use the mirage tranny with a n/t fly 4g63
or
2g fwd 4g63 tranny

I would take for the evo harness
125.00 engine harness
50.00 dash harness and part body
75.00 for the engine bay harness

Have to make new front and rear rollstop mounts. Rework the roll stop brace. And have to use a 90 awd tranny with a weleded center diff.

Re: 4g63t in my mirage sedan? fwd.

No one has ever done a full auto swap. Every one goes to 5speed. But it should work just fine. You would need to use the 2g auto engine harness then and ecu and tcu too get it all to work right

Re: 4g63t in my mirage sedan? fwd.

With the auto you would need to wire the full car with the dsm harness and make it all work right. I would just get a 5 speed tranny 2g fwd or 1g fwd. I can make the mounts for the 1g tranny in a few hours
