injectors question

96 talon tsi awd, new engine, garrett t28r, evo manifold, apexi n1 exhaust,

its running lean and i think it might have stock injectors. any recommendations on what injector size to go with based on my turbo and setup?

no AFC is on the system yet. and its constantly running lean.

Re: injectors question

How do you know you're running lean.

Instead of guessing on the injectors you should take them out and look at them to know what they are.

Re: injectors question

i hooked up an air/fuel gauge and its constantly sitting on lean unless i shift, then it goes optimal momentarily.

Re: injectors question

Was it a Wideband gauge?

Check injectors, what boost are you running?

glow-shift 3 gauge pod, oil pressure, boost, and a/f

was at autozone today, the guy working there came out and looked. he said the vacuum system is plumbed totally wrong.

the wastegate is hooked to the manual boost controller which is hooked to the BOV.
theres several 3 way splits and he said some of them are wrong.

i dont know jack about it though.

Ehh, you probably have stock injectors and a bad/dying O2 sensor. And from the sounds of it you bought a car that's been played with by somone that shouldn't have been playing. Not all bad, it can be fixed.

^Yeah that's crazy, I would've never went to AutoZone for help, other than a battery test.

Good luck on the fix though. Check www.vfaq.com first before you ask questions around here, you might get your fingers bitten off.

I know I've seen tons of pics on how to hook the vac lines up.

where is this auto zone?

glad you got it figured out tho. but you should probably upgrade the injectors anyways and go with an afc
