How many T's can you make in a vacum line?
I have a boost a pump and already have all the vacum line ports in use.. I have my boost controller T'ed off the BOV line but was wondering if I could get a piece that looks like + and run my boost a pump off of it aswell?

Re: How many T's can you make in a vacum line?
I think you want to have a dedicated line for the bov.

Re: How many T's can you make in a vacum line?
Kinda hard to do this when you have no vacum lines.

Re: How many T's can you make in a vacum line?
^Then T into your line again.
Or buy a vacuum block. |
Re: How many T's can you make in a vacum line?
Yeah, don't tee into the BOV line for a boost controller, the pressure drop when the controller valve opens can screw with normal operation.
Tee off the FPR line for the sensor like you would for a boost gauge, and give the MBC its own line as well. Not like you actually need any of that emissions crap hooked up anyway. |

Boost guage is t into fpr line.

Re: How many T's can you make in a vacum line?
Then tee off the line for the boost gauge inside the cabin?
Less mess in the engine bay... |

Get yourself a vacuum manifold, it'll make finding a vacuum source a lot less painful and it'll be cleaner.

I like this idea! Thanks!

I said the same thing!

Ok sorry, thanks aaron

Re: How many T's can you make in a vacum line?
Am I wrong or isn't your boost controller supposed to be connected before the throttle body like off the fitting from the turbo if equipped?
|
Re: How many T's can you make in a vacum line?
It's ideal to have it tapped in as close to the turbo as possible.
|
Re: How many T's can you make in a vacum line?
My turbo does not have a nipple off of it for the boost gauge

Re: How many T's can you make in a vacum line?
Just make sure the BAP sensor is not on a vac line with an electronic boost controller, if you have a "standard" manual boost controller put it in line with what ever sees manifold pressure and you are good to go.
Its a dsm, put it in the crank case or water jacket and it might work just fine. ~John |
