I kind of like this thread.
I love working on my car, and have learned a lot since owning my first DSM. I can do basically all of my own work, except when it requires a garage or multiple people. Things like a built engine I decided to loan out my soul and have DB build me something I can have confidence in, instead of me most likely messing it up. I'll eventually try and do one myself, but it will not be for my evo.
I respect people who do their own work, most people that take their car in because they wont even trouble shoot it for one minute bother me. Seems to be a burden on the shop most of the time.
Also, the reason I had to build a motor was because I messed up trying to fix mine! Lesson learned, and I don't regret it.
