ive read that it out flows a 1g , but not by much.

seeing how my engine is already a 2.3 I figured the cyclone would give even more grunt in the low end before boost steps in.
With an HX-40 I would use a SMIM over the Cyclone because the turbo can supply sufficient airflow that it makes sense to make the engine more efficient in the upper RPM range.

I agree, it would not be a good choice for comparing it to a smim for 1/4 mile drag racing and overall power. But for a fun street car, and maybe the 1/8th mile, I like it!

FYI: It was a pain to clear the A/C compressor, and it was a pain relocating the coil pack and setting up the wastegate actuator.

You can kind of see the wastegate actuator under the spark plug wires.

Damn, Chad... that looks awesome!

Are you going to be at the spring dyno with it?

I think a friendly peak TQ contest would be in order

Im currently upgrading my 20g to a billet 20g extended tip, then replacing my 7cm housing with a fp 8cm housing. Then some other minor things I hope to get done by this spring, and make it to the dyno day.

1g throttle body bolts right up. I run speed density with an evo 8 ecu. If your running speed density it will have to be tuned. If your running a maf sensor it should be able to pick up the extra airflow and relay to the ecu alot better.

Yes I do see a nice extra airflow chunk down low

I didnt use gaskets. I cleaned the intake mating flanges thoroughly and used anerobic sealant instead of gaskets.
