Re: New product devolopment
Not only our names, but our cars as well. I guess the fact we both have red Evo X's doesn't help.
My car isn't running yet, but should be soon, they are putting the motor back in now.
You are welcome to shoot some pics when installed if you want, not sure when Mike plans on tuning his new intake, hopefully mine will be in a week or two, but who knows.

Re: New product devolopment
Looks fantastic! Do you think the ends should have a bead rolled into them though? Some cone filters are oiled, and they could slip off of the end.
I kinda want one, even though I don't need it :P

Re: New product devolopment
I dont see beads really needing to be needed on an intake pipe..remember, this isn't the charge side All it does is guide filtered air into the turbo for it to do it's work. No pressure..

Re: New product devolopment
Right, but if there's nothing actually supporting it besides the couplers, there will be tension on it; violent, violent tension from the car making the massive whp that these intakes will support!
I'd want one if it was going on my car, that's all I'm saying

Re: New product devolopment
Fair enough.
Another thing I learned is that that wrinkle powdercoating actually makes removing filters and couplers that have been tight for a while really REALLY hard to come off! I'd assume that if there's a need for any bracing in the future, they'd get it done, once they have a car there to finalize mock up on.

Re: New product devolopment
Nice piece.
So did you guys give up on the 1G DSM radiator brackets, I actually have a couple of complete mint sets.
The main part would be using something other than shitty rubber for the mounts. I would think just using either the front or rear bolt hole instead of both would make for a cleaner look.

Re: New product devolopment
MAYBE you should bring a set by like you have been saying for 3 years . JK man. If you bring by a set we will look into them.
Also Dave and Mike, one of you need to change you user name also! I was sitting here getting you guys confused the whole time. Lol.
And if there is a need for a bead roll we can easily do that as well.

(M)ichael Lomker....mlomker. Come on now.
It was also my idea to have you guys do this for us and I get my intake after Dave. He was more of a pita. That's how that works.

Re: New product devolopment
+1 on bead rolling the ends and BOV tube. A little extra security never hurts. I've seen filters slip off plenty of intake kits after prolonged engine vibrations.

Re: New product devolopment
For the longest time I didn't know where they were. Turns out I'm like 5 mins away at least once a week because Sam's aunt lives right off 88 and 35w.
Anywho. That works Jesse, that conquest is still sitting btw.
