Oil pan return line location

I made my own starting with a NT pan. I put it slightly above the stock location and a bit towards the outside as well. I used -12AN line and welded on a steel -12AN fitting to the pan. No leaks anymore.

The -12AN line just barely fits over the stock metal return line, which I used for the fitting on the turbo.

When the engine is running, your 4.5 quarts are all through the engine, it's not all sitting in the pan.
