Gutting the stock cat.

This is a long shot. Has anyone ever done this on their Turbo DSM? I had my exhaust off when I bought the car and when I had it on the hoist at work, I noticed the shit insde the cat was all broken up, so I busted the rest of it up and cleaned it out. And once I put the cat-back on the car I noticed a loud sound and a vibration. I'm not sure if both are related. Has anyone ever done this and had a similar problem? As you can see I'm really fishing for possible solutions to this fucking car.

The car will be louder with a gutted cat. How bad is the vibration? If its a rattling noise, it could be loose remaining ceramic inside the cat.

Nah, Its a pretty bad vibration. I did the Balance shaft elimination this morning hoping that would fix it. It did nothing.

You didnt miss a hanger mount on the exhaust or something, maybe bent a heat shield down onto the exhaust?
