making a good bastard tranny...

This is for my 90' AWD Talon. I'll just start off with what I sorta planned on doing and let you pro's give some feed back on what would be better, or whats wrong with my plan... I'm looking for like advice on what to put in it, not have shep do it. K, First off, I was going to use a GVR-4 case, GVR-4 first gear, and a TRE double syncro 2nd gear, normal 3rd and 4th, and a TRE 25% taller 5th. Alright, let the scrutany begin....

Re: making a good bastard tranny...

sounds good. especially with how you beat the shit out of your car I'll get shit for suggesting these, but have you thought about steel shift forks? I know you like to shove those gears in place, and for someone like you those might be good. And in case everyone doesnt know, Mike here likes to tear his tranny apart all the time. So it wouldnt be a big deal if he has to replace a syncro or something every now in then (like the 3rd gear one).
