You are absolutely right! I've never had a tranny apart, or even seen on apart in person or in pictures. But I do remember reading about a guy that had stripped a couple teeth off a gear (3rd I believe) and the teeth were crunching around in there afterwards. My tranny illiterate brain thought that the gear itself broke into a bunch of pieces and they were now just floating around getting things stuck. My bad.
