Oil light question.

My oil light keeps coming on when I drive for long periods of time and come to a stop. The Red oil light will flicker. Im using Mobile 1 fully synthetic 10w-30. RPM is still good, its not going down or anything. I checked my oil level and its all good. Car runs perfect, but I dont know why this light keeps flickering on and off after long driving. Anyone have any idea? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Oil light question.

check the wires to the sensor. Also, you sure your oil is good? not leaking from the turbo, or anything? it's cause of low oil pressure, but with 10w30, that should still be good, assuming there is no issue. do you have an aftermarket oil psi gauge? i'd check that wiring, or maybe the sensor is bad.

Re: Oil light question.

Mobil 1 10W-30 is a very thin 10W-30, if you used a different brand 10W-30 or a M1 5/10/15W-40 the light wouldn't flicker. A lot of DSM's have this same issue when using 5W-30 in the summer.
