Voltage Issue

I had a problem that I am hoping you guys could help me solve before the show up in Rogers this weekend. I took my Talon out for a short joy ride about a week ago and out of the blue my volts started to drop. And I posted about it thinking it would be the high-output alternator that you guys and my cousin who built it thought it was. Well today I switched that alternator out with the one in my GS which is a stocky and both cars run the same voltage as before Anything was done. But this time While putting the stocky in the talon none of my interior lights work. The ones on the floor, the one on the ignition, and the ceiling. I am really hoping you all could diag. this problem so I could see you all this weekend whoever is going.

Thank you all and sorry this has to be soo long.

Re: Voltage Issue

Well there is corrosion on the wires coming off the alternator but nothing seems loose or fraying although that is stupid to say since green is bad to see.

Re: Voltage Issue

Make sure the alternator fuse is good and has a good connection. It is under the hood. Also make sure you have enough grounds connected to the engine.

Re: Voltage Issue

Well I replaced the alternator fuse and my interior lights work again but it still has a low charge. The connections still feel snug. I don't know where to check the grounds on this car to well, but from what I can see they look to be good.

Re: Voltage Issue

The battery is relocated to the trunk and everything is clean and snug back there as well.

Re: Voltage Issue

Int. Lights don't work again and all relays and fuses have been replaced. The only thing I cannot find are the grounds under the hood. Too many things have been moved from the stock loc.
