I wouldnt go any darker than 35% and I have a black car. It really looks darker than I thought it would.

Not much you can do but I feel for you. It's a lame F'ing law (that and front plates tick me off) and one of the reasons I hate this state's government. They need to start going threw all the current laws and cutting out the BS that oversteps what a government is here for instead of continue to come up with more crap. Next week at the elections I'm not voting for ANY incumbent's. Time to flush and start over.
