Sunroof seal

Car is a 1996 Talon AWD.

I'm not sure how many seals there are for the moonroof, but I can hear quite a bit of air leaking at highway speeds, and if the wind is against me it can get pretty loud, so I end up closing the carpeted part to reduce the noise level. Sometimes a little rain will get stuck up there too and when I brake it falls down on me. So whatever seals there are for the moonroof, I may need new ones.

Re: Sunroof seal

Bringing this back from the dead... two weeks ago I stopped in and picked up the sunroof weatherstrip for my 2g, but it's a few inches shorter than my current one and doesn't fit right at all. I'll post up the part number on the packaging later. Are the talon and eclipse sunroofs different?

Also it cost something like $86+tax with the discount, maybe the price went up since last year, or maybe the guy gave me the wrong one.

Re: Sunroof seal

Well the part number on mine says MR199811, so I'm not sure what's up. Are there differences between 2g sunroofs? Mine is a Tsi AWD, maybe they're different than eclipses?

I had the same problem just a few months back but I just got mine at abra for like 60 dollars and mine was a little long so I could adjust to what the length should be... I havent had a real prob since...

Also, to put it on I just tapped it with a hammer a little at a time all the way around because they bunch up easy. Just a little tip.

Re: Sunroof seal

Well my sunroof rail just broke anyway, so I won't be using it any more unless I replace the rail next spring. Plus I never even use the sunroof anyway.

Nick, what would be the restocking fee if I returned this?
