How To Remove Power Steering

How do I remove power steering? Is there any faq about it? I didn't find it on vfaq. The car is a 92 tsi awd 5 speed.

Do I just have to remove the pump, loop the lines, and figure out the belt situation? Is there more to it? Thanks, John

That will work fine. If you pull all the lines, you can cut the high pressure line (hard line) at the rack and loop the return line back to it. Don't take off the pulley that used to drive the pump unless you have a spacer about .060" to put behind the altenator pulley or you will destroy belts. I will be making some aluminum spacers for it if you want to get rid of it.
