Ya, need more info on the car, and the "few things" you've already tried.

I'd check your plugs/wires first.

Re: bogging under boost

Mod info would be nice. Just a couple things to check would be plugs/wires, and do a boost leak test.

Re: bogging under boost

will its an awd auto 14b, free mod done, mbc set to 14psi, mostly still stock... the car will run just fine untill it gets to about 2psi then bogs out but still builds boost just fine.. it just feels like its just not putting the power to the wheels.. i was thinking it might be the torque converter but the tranny still shifts just fine.

Re: bogging under boost

what did you gap the plugs to? Can you maybe explain more of what you mean by bogging? Is the car actually braking up and sounding like it's misfiring? Or does everything sound ok but it's just moving very slow? Do you have a logger or anyway to monitor your knock or timing retard?

Re: bogging under boost

.030" gap is borderline. I would do a boost leak test right away, it is probably running rich under boost because of a leak.

Re: bogging under boost

You really should look into getting some sort of logger. If you're knocking real bad, and pulling a bunch of timing, then that could be why you are losing all that power. Then you just need to figure out why.

Like Jet said, boost leak could be a big one. Also have you ever checked what your ignition timing is at?

Re: bogging under boost

Go do a boost leak test, and check ignition timing. Then report back.

Re: bogging under boost

ok well no boost leaks.. and timing is good.. but i did pull the intercooler and it had some oil in it so i swaped intercoolers. after checking a few things it had gotten alittle better but its still not gone.

Re: bogging under boost

What was the ignition timing at? Did you make sure and ground the timing plug when you checked it?
