I found a rebuild kit on ebay that was good and the guy also balances the turbo for free, you just have to mail it to him. I already rebuilt the turbo and am going to mail it today. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MITSU...7296QQtcZphoto
The gaskets on my turbo were so bad, I can't wait to put it back in!

What I don't get is how oil doesnt leak past the seal ring on the turbine shaft?

They call it a piston ring and it's the same exact concept as the rings on your piston. As long as the ring is not too worn, or the ring land for that matter, your turbo shouldn't leak there.

If your guy has the option for a 'step gapped' piston ring, go that route vs a standard straight cut. It's a minor difference but also aids in keeping oil from leaking into your turbine side.
