Re: slow boy racing??

SBR = SHIT! I believe there is a 25 page or so long thread somewhere on here about people's experience with them.

It's over 40 pages.

LOL I'm going to guess there will be zero recommendations on any SBR motor. Why not get one from MAP or another local shop? You'd probably save yourself some money as well.

Re: slow boy racing??

Holy crap, reading that SBR stuff is classic. I will never deal with them. If you want a built motor use MAP or DB. I have lots of great great great experience with MAP. I havent dealt with DB yet but I hear great things about them as well. Screw SBR.

If you buy something from them, you risk being banned from this site.

Just because they have it listed in their on-line catalog doesn't mean its good.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and buy it locally. MAP and DB are sponsors here, and they both can build strong, reliable and affordable engines.

Seriously.

Seriously.

Seriously.

Do not give them your business.

Seriously.

It would be much more effective to just pull one out of a junkyard and hope for the best.

Stay local, you won't be disappointed.

Why do you want a "built" motor? stock bottom end is amazing.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

As to why anyone would want to give any business to SBR and scumbag Mike Huml is beyond me.

Re: slow boy racing??

Built DSM motors don't make power, bolt-ons do.

Stock rebuild with 1g Big Rods on 2g Pistons will hold 500 whp, best bet is just to go that route.

Edit - BTW, obviously if you are willing to pay for either Stage 2 and or 3 why would you not get the Stage 3 block? By NO means am I condoming getting a SBR engine, but its like asking if MAPS Stage 2 is better than their Stage 1.

You take a guess...
