after talking to him on the phone, what he told me was that the oil gauge and tach dies.
I think this is not a symptom at all, at idle, put your car in 5th, release clutch, tach and oil pressure dies.
The lights to the gauges stay on, the car stays "on" but the engine isnt running.
This is completely different from a complete BCM failure.
I know switching MAF's probably won't fix it, but chances are this is a sensor issue, and it is easy to replace.
