Yup, the numbers work out so that if you use a JDM 6speed front ring and pinion (3.40 ratio), and a 6 speed transfer case (.958 ratio) and a stock US 5 speed rear diff(same as JDM 6speeds) (3.545) that everything equals out. 3.545x.958=3.396. close enough to 3.40.
I also have the option to use the USDM 6speed front ring an pinion, but I would need to use the USDM 6 speed rear diff with it as well. That would give me gearing just slightly shorter than a US spec 6 speed.
