Question best timing belt ?

hey guys was wondering if my girlfriends laser would benefit from the gates Kevlar blue belt. or would the stock one be fine ? Her car is slightly modded
she runs a small 16g and a fmic and runs about 16-17 psi of boost

Re: best timing belt ?

I always buy a factory Mitsubishi timing belt, unless you are building a motor and setup with heavy valve springs and reving higher then stock.

Stock belt from the dealer, or a gates belt from craig@o'reily's

Re: best timing belt ?

OEM Mitsu or Gates OEM replacement is the best choice as others have already stated.

Re: best timing belt ?

Yeah if you are asking for the best timing belt then get one of those blue/purple kevlar belts. They are made stronger than the factory one, but cost more $$$.

Re: best timing belt ?

The OEM one is fine. Or any high quality replacement, like a ContiTech.
