Re: Black Friday sales!

Is electricity expensive in Texas? I have seen the energy savings claims, but electricity is so cheap in MN compared to Cali or some states on the east coast that I think it would take me 30 years to make the money back. $900 for a pair isn't bad at all though compared to those ones that are $1000 each. I need a black friday sale on a furnace.

Price per kw is right around 9-cents here right now, what are you paying? I wish I saved my work from when I figured out how long it would take to cover the difference but it was quick enough to make it worth it in my mind.

The last furnace we installed was a high efficiency unit we got for $350 off craigslist. It was a few years old from a new consrtuction home and we installed it ourselves. I would look for a slightly used unit and save some money. If you won't be going high efficiency, you might as well just buy new.

Motorcycle cop pulls up next to me on UNI and says "Want to race?"
Me- "I don't think you would stand a chance."
Cop says "probably not" and drives off.
