Well, since I work at a machine shop... this is kind of a no brainer... I can toss the head in a cnc and cut whatever I want into the head to seal it. and like Goodhart said. $40 bucks when it comes time to change if you have to is alot better than a $200 head gasket and hundreds in machining and you have to pull the whole motor. Obviously the block and head have to be fairly flat for anything to work, but not ridiculous flat for a mls.

Unless it is a Cometic. Those things suck. I went through 2 of them with fresh surfaces and ARP's running 23psi with a good Shane tune. The surfaces have to be beyond perfect apparently.
