Re: Better Sand on the Road than Sand in my Vag
So Scheides, are you for sure parting it to buy another Evo then or what have you heard back from insurance? Or are you de-modding it so you don't have to buy it back?

No word from insurance adjuster yet, I'm a little chapped about that. I think I will call them over lunch and find out wtf their problem is.
I'm demodding to get my parts off of a vehicle that certainly doesn't need them anymore, then once its gone, I will see what I can find. If its an evo and it needs these parts, sweet nutz! If I don't use them, I'll eventually sell them. As far as buy-back, that's still a HUGE questionmark, due to insurance company.

Re: Better Sand on the Road than Sand in my Vag
Adjuster just left, he said he'd be surprised if it wasn't a total loss. He also said it was probably safe to start taking parts off of it, but if I don't intend to buy it back I should make sure to leave factory stuff in place or in the trunk so they wouldn't come back to try and get me on it later.

Re: Better Sand on the Road than Sand in my Vag
Do you have most of your factory parts lying around still? Or are you now on a mad parts hunt.

So if you strip something off they are fine with the stock replacement part to just be put in the trunk?

Re: Better Sand on the Road than Sand in my Vag
Yeah, I don't think it has to be assembled...you just need a full set of parts in the car/trunk. The junk yard just wants to be able to part something out for what they are paying the insurance company.

Re: Better Sand on the Road than Sand in my Vag
Heh ya idk how much it'd be worth to pile stuff in the trunk vs just slapping it on the car quick. Goal for now is to completely part out the car, then put stock stuff back in it. If I'm pulling the head and stuff, the turbo, bumper, fmic, and everything else can be out of the way while I'm doing it. Then when the other head is on there, just throw some stock stuff back in it quick.
I really need to find some junk GSR wheels though, if anyone knows of any, please let me know!

Re: Better Sand on the Road than Sand in my Vag
Holy crap they moved fast! I got an offer for the car, buyback, and whatnot. I'll start demodding tonight or tomorrow night.
I'm going to stick my neck out and offer up the leather interior. If anyone is interested in swapping me your cloth seats for my leather stuff, PM me an offer. No lowballs, I shouldn't really be doing this. Goes to highest bidder that actually has cash in hand.
I'm open to other offers for parts swaps, but the car will NOT be stripped, so don't offer to buy anything unless you have somethign to replace it with.
ALSO does anyone know what happened to my spare tire/donut? Apparently I have Kody's on the car, and I have no idea where mine went!

Re: Better Sand on the Road than Sand in my Vag
Kevin can you bring my spare tire with too? *hug*
Um, if anyone has some spare tools they could bring, that probably would be helpful, I only have one or two of most things....if there's 10 people it's gonna be asses to elbows LOL!

Re: Better Sand on the Road than Sand in my Vag
I could maybe come later (got softball at 6:30, shouldn't take too long though)if you need a parts runner or something lol. I don't think you need any more wrench help.

Re: Better Sand on the Road than Sand in my Vag
It's still in the trunk I think I still have the socket for your lug nuts too. I'll make sure my battery impact is good and charged up and bring it too.

Re: Better Sand on the Road than Sand in my Vag
I might need a burger flipper if anyone wants to volunteer?
MattD is letting me borrow his car for the novice school this weekend, so I gotta bleed his brakes before I rip into my car. At this rate we'll be in good shape.
