How would a dowel pin cause a bolt to break? Thank about it.. A dowel pin has no head to it, therefore it does not keep the motor from separating from the tranny. It only stops it from rotating against the block. You could have had crappy bolts. Overtightened bolts. etc. there are a million reasons for breaking bolts, and believe me, a dowel pin is not one of them.
From what i gathered, they werent blaming the dowel pins for the wheels not rotating. That would just be stupid.
Anyone know where said tranny is now? Does goodhart still have this.
