Re: Modern Automotive Performance

The tranny had every bolt that held it to the motor and everything else. It was missing a dowel pin. Cause when that was notice that it was missing one. A dowel pin was put in the right place everything was reinstalled and never broke a bolt after that. If the dowel pin are there for just alignment. Why would map say anything about the dowel pins not being in goodharts car. Just a question. How would that cause just the front tires to turn. Just saying.

How would a dowel pin cause a bolt to break? Thank about it.. A dowel pin has no head to it, therefore it does not keep the motor from separating from the tranny. It only stops it from rotating against the block. You could have had crappy bolts. Overtightened bolts. etc. there are a million reasons for breaking bolts, and believe me, a dowel pin is not one of them.
From what i gathered, they werent blaming the dowel pins for the wheels not rotating. That would just be stupid.
Anyone know where said tranny is now? Does goodhart still have this.
