Question transmission and tranfercase on a evo

I found out that I have to put in new main bearing in and I am pulling the motor and transmission out together. I am at the point were I need to pull the shaft out of the transmission on the driver side that go's to the tranfercase. How far doe's the shaft come out of the transmission so it's not in the tranfercase?
Look at number 26 to 28 you will see what I mean.

from what i remember not that far. But if you plan on doing them together more then likely gonna have to come out the bottom.
