Unhappy E85 Help!!

So, i just got my pte 1200cc injectors today, got them installed and drove over to fill up with e85. I have a FPR & walbro 255hp pump. It drove goofy for a ways, and when i got back i did some adjusting with dsmlink to get it to idle good. Went for a cruise down CR24, after letting it idle and making sure things looked good fuel wise... I was headed up the road and all of a sudden it started shaking pretty bad, and when i went to pull over it quit and couldnt get it started, i let it set, got a ride home to get tools and undid the plugs, 1 black and the others were looking white, needless to say, im guessing the tuning is not correct, dont have the right plugs and or i have other serious problems now.
What is going on?

Re: E85 Help!!

Try swapping plugs, or ignition wires, could have just fouled out the plug, our you have an issue with the spark wire.

Re: E85 Help!!

pull the injectors, leave them in the rail and pressurize it, one will dump fuel if its stuck

um... won't that make a fuel injector rocket launcher? I've never tried it cause I figured it would fire the injectors right out of the rail if they were not restrained.

Re: E85 Help!!

Swap injector with another cylinder, see if the problem stays with the cylinder or follows the injector.

Are these PTE's? I have heard of three different sets of 1200cc PTE injectors having a bad injector locally. Yours could be a fourth.

Re: E85 Help!!

yeah they are PTE injectors. I'd say the best thing is i have a tank full of e85, and the dbag on ebay i bought it from says i have to call precision for warranty work first, so i'm gonna be out a car for at least a week and half. What a joke.

Re: E85 Help!!

I have heard good things about the PTE 1000cc injectors. But to the OP, swap the #4 injector with the #2 or #3 and see if the issue fallows the injector, then you will know if its a bad injector or something with the wiring or ECU with the #4 cylinder.

Re: E85 Help!!

Just pound on the injector and maybe it will free it up. I've never had an injector stick open, but I've had them stick shut a couple times, and that's taken care of it without another issue.

Re: E85 Help!!

The PTE 1000s work great as with most of their injectors, but the PTE 1200s are not E85 compatible. Next time buy parts from someone who knows something about tuning.

Re: E85 Help!!

Yea, I even called the damn place and they told me that they were 100% compatible with e85. After doing some recent research i found that, like you said, they are not compatible at all. All in all i guess this is my fault, but the company i bought these from are being stupid about it.
