inline fuel pump booster
How many of you guy's run one. I was thinking of doing this because it's cheaper the getting a double pumper. What do you think.

Re: inline fuel pump booster
You mean an inline pump or a Boost-A-Pump? If you're on E85 then an inline Bosch 044 will get you a long way.

Re: inline fuel pump booster
How's your car running anyways? Just run a boost-a-pump on a single walbro in tank. Jake (311evo) hit 530whp at DB with this setup with room to spare.

I had to put in all new bearing and a new 100mm crankshaft and now I just waiting on getting a clutch. Iam running a single walbro in tank thats why I was asking about the booster pump. Shane at DB side I would run out of fuel at about 450 to 470 with 1000cc injector and I want to be close to 550 to 600 and that I need a inline pump with mt in tank walbro or double pumper.

Re: inline fuel pump booster
Well, I would run a modded single pump (shane can show you this) with a BAP, hands down. It worked on many other cars and it will work on yours. That should get you to 550whp at least and if you make more than that then worry about the dual pump setup or an inline or something. If you are 130% sure it will hit 600whp on shane's dyno then you might need more.
Wait, are we talking about 1.0CF or shootout numbers? What turbo are you running? Your 470whp sounds like shootout numbers....if that is the case then just go for the single as stated.

Re: inline fuel pump booster
A Boost-A-Pump is not an inline booster. It's a voltage booster/regulator. Some guys run that, some guys put a Walbro GSL392 inline or a Bosch 044 inline. Some guys run a Walbro intake plus a Bosch 044 or GSL392 outside of the tank, but with a pickup intank in parallel.

Re: inline fuel pump booster
You will need bigger injectors. With 1 intank Walbro with stock wiring to the fuel pump on E85 you would probably max them around 420awhp on my dyno. With good fuel pressure with 2 pumps or whatever they might be able to handle another 10-30awhp.

Re: inline fuel pump booster
Like was said, there's a few options. BAP will just increase voltage to the single pump, causing it to flow more. Adding an inline external pump (dual pump in series) is another way t get more fuel to the injectors. Not sure about evo's, but twin intank pumps in parrallel is another option possibly. Pick your poison

He was thinking that an inline would be cheaper but it isn't. You need a large inline pump to get anywhere near the flow of two Walbros in parallel. A $190 Bosch vs a $90 Walbro.
In addition to larger injectors he'll need an afpr setup for most dual pump configurations--the only exception would be if he ran the second pump of an in-tank double pump on a Hobbs switch.

Re: inline fuel pump booster
So I should just get the buschur double pumper and 1600cc injector then to make close to the power I would like.

Avoid the 1600s like the plague with the AEM.

Re: inline fuel pump booster
I don't know what a Buschur Double Pumper is but it sounds kinda scary.
Again I don't know about evo's much, but can you just do something similar to this in an evo?

Re: inline fuel pump booster
You can't do the home brew setup on an Evo or 2G, not enough room and they run split tanks with a siphon system.

Disregard the comment on 1600 injectors and AEM. It's certain brands of injectors (like bosch 1600's) that are hard to tune on the AEM. You can run Deatschwerks 1600's with no problem and they are ethanol and methanol compatible.
http://www.deatschwerks.com/catalog/...roducts_id=102
and the boost-a-pump with you setup will safely get you to your goals.
