Spark Plugs

What would be a good spark plug to run for my Eclipse? Also how much would I want to gap them?
Would my supporting mods make a difference or should I just walk into Pep Boys and just ask for plugs and wires.

Thanks guys!

Re: Spark Plugs

Really?

NGK BPR7ES

/thread

What do you have for mods? turbo? how much boost? Your gap would have to depend on all of that. If it is relatively stock, then run stock gap.

Re: Spark Plugs

Gap them at .024 and BPR7ES is a good summer plug for a DSM.

Pry a BPR6ES in the winter, but all depends on your set up.

Re: Spark Plugs

NGK BPR7ES gapped to .024 - .026 IIRC. You wouldn't need supportive mods for these spark plugs.

Taylor or NGK are fine for wires.

Re: Spark Plugs

I would start at .028", run that, if it breaks up, then tighten the gap to .027", rinse and repeat till you find a good spot.
