Ok, so here's the problem. I have a 95 gst with the DSM link. The link is no longer able to communicate with my ECU. It just started doing this, it worked before but now it won't. Also, when I turn my key off usually there was about 30 seconds where i could roll up the windows without the key on, now that doesn't work either. I'm guessing it has something to do with the wiring to the ECU, but I don't know what wires to start testing or anything. Plus I don't have a wiring diagram. Help as soon as possible would be appreciated.

damn... could it be the communication between laptop an ddsmlink, did you check com ports? make sure they are functional, did you try a different laptop/machine? i know my usb serial changes the IRQ number every time i plug it in, but either way, just check on that..and in the software too..

I've tried that, It's not the comm ports or the laptop. It has something to do with the ecu wiring, because my turbo timer also quit working at the same time. I had to hardwire a 12v constant to the fuse box to get it to work because the 12v from the ecu wasn't getting power. But then I hardwired a 12v constant to the ecu and it still didn't work so i don't know where else to start or to do. The car still runs and everything works, so it's wierd, the only things that don't work are the DSM link and the timer for the windown when i turn off the key.

Swap the ecu out with a known good one. I'm sure it's time for the 95's to start having the cap leakage problems.

The ETAC (95+) is in control of power to things like the sunroof, power windows, interior lights, with the key off, that its the body control unit. sounds like its not getting power. not sure why DSMlink would not work.
