That powerband is sweet congrats man, go run some 10s!!
I was thinking about this and found an old dyno plot from shane/mara's 'project salt collector'

http://www.mitsustyle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18245

Overlay shows mara's SC61 outspooling this thing but the BW turbo kicks butt up top!

Thanks for the overlay!!! Yes I bet the t4 housing is slowing the spool down alot but helps out with the higher RPM as it doesn't choke out. I think if it had the smaller housing, it wouldn't be able to hold that power all the way to 9k like it does.

The bad topend on Mara's SC61 had to do with the intake pipe in front of the turbo. This is after fixing the intake problem and some other changes( http://www.mitsustyle.com/forums/att...2&d=1285892300 ), but a better comparison of the turbo potential, it wasn't the SC61s fault for the old bad powerband.

His divided T4 housing should help spoolup a decent amount, but his exhaust manifold runners are on the big side and his cam has no low end, so those are probably hurting his spool up. You can have the same turbo on the same size motor spool 1500 RPMs different from one car to another depending on things like exhaust manifold, cams, intake manifold, cam gear settings, fuel used, etc.

His clutch slipped bad enough for the RPMs to shoot to revlimiter a couple times, so we had to keep the boost/power down some.

Thanks for the info Shane and again thanks on the killer tune. I may swap the cams out for some kelford 272's and see if I can pull some vacuum/gain some spool time. Next time the clutch should be broke in so we can push the turbo to it's limits!!! And I don't feel that the spool is too bad considering it pulls so hard all the way to 9k without peeling off.
