Abs?

Ever since I got my car, my ABS wasnt working. I was just wondering if anyone on here might know the problem. The ABS light was never on, but one of my ABS sensors ripped off. It's winter and since I cant just take the ABS out (no idea how to) its just sitting there adding weight. So I might as well try to make it work for the winter.

If you have a 1G then leave it broke, the 1G ABS is terrible. Remove it when/if you get obsessed by weight reduction.

I guess I'll just leave it as it is. I dont feel like going through all the work to remove it and it probably doesnt weight all that much either.

The 1G ABS pump doesn't weigh that much, but when you add up the wiring harness, controller and pump, it adds up. It's easy to get rid of it, you just need the four front hard brake lines and distribution block from a non-ABS 1G.

Yes, the 2G version is much better.

Getting rid of the 1G ABS will make doing clutch jobs and tranny swaps a bit easier on your car.
