Will my gas mileage drop dramatically with 272 cams?

Hello.

I'm getting 272 cams in the spring to compliment my PTE 50trim and 780cc injectors. Can someone tell me if my gas mileage is going to suck because of the longer duration of the cams? Regardless of the answer, i'm still gonna get them. I just wanna know what to expect.

I shouldn't do anything to your cruising gas mileage if you have a good tune, there are numerous guys on here that are getting 30+mpg while using 272's.

Thanks. I was just curious. When i had my 97 GST i did pretty good on gas mileage but when i got the '99 GSX i wasn't as impressed but i guess that's because of the AWD system.
