Re: What's your favorite kind of Beer?
LOL, this thread is going pretty far, at least most the people on the board are guys....and the ones who aren't might as well be If a girl cleans properly, the taste is just fine, sweet if anything.

Re: What's your favorite kind of Beer?
Do any of you buy microbrews from the liquor store just to try them out? I buy a 6 pack here and there and am never really disappointed. Old Chicago is excellent for microbrews. Applebee's has some occasionally, but it's hit and miss.

Re: What's your favorite kind of Beer?
I have a friend who will buy random microbrews at the store, he is also on some internet beer forum that ranks and rates beer. I personally just like the good ol' watery macros.

I'll ask him for the site next time we talk. I mean guy as in you hang out "as one of the guys". You don't care what things we talk about and generally join in! As far as I know, no other girls post/view the forums on a regular basis. Most seem to come for a day and two and thats it. Oh well.

Re: What's your favorite kind of Beer?
Last weekend, I tried a glass of probably the best beer I have ever tasted. It was a red Belgian beer from a micro brew. I'm not sure what it was called, or where it was from exactly, but it was awesome. I helped a co worker move a couch, and he had some of this in his fridge. I can't really describe the flavor, but it was very distinct. I don't think I've ever had anything like it.
I've also tried a couple of barley wines over the past month or so. I wasn't a big fan at first, but they're starting to grow on me.

That's worse. First off that makes you a "friend" and not a lover. And then secondly you have to go out of town to get one, sad, sad, sad.

Corona with a lime in it is the best. God I love it.

Re: What's your favorite kind of Beer?
Has anyone tried the new BudE drink? Alcohol + Energy Drink=
I had a six pack of Michelob Honey Weiss and would have to say it was quite tasty.

Re: What's your favorite kind of Beer?
A few to add that I've enjoyed in the last nine months or so.
All of these are from Town Hall Brewery in Minneapolis, but they're all seasonals. The Black Snow is the only one they currently have (unless they've run out already.)
Black Snow Coffee Porter <- If you like Coffee and you like Porters, you'll love this beer.
Little Dog IPA <- good hoppy beer
Big Dog IPA <- even more hops
Grand Cru <- served in 8oz glasses because it knocks your head off your shoulders
"8" Weizenbock <- similar to the grand cru
Here's a couple others you can buy at the store if you look around.
Lake Superior, Special Ale <- Lotsa hops
Lake Superior, Old Man Winter Warmer <- A barley wine that warms you up right
Big Sky, Powder Hound <- A good dark beer
Hansens, Geuze Lambic <- It's an Aquired taste, full of flavor, made for sipping, not chugging
Paulander, Hefeweisen <- an excelent, excelent, wheat beer
Paulander, Salvator <- good
Here's what I have on tap right now in my garage:
Sam Adams, Boston Lager
Town Hall, Little Dog
Summit, Winter Ale
And on reserve: Town Hall, Black Snow
I think I'll go have a beer now.
