2g map sensor on 1g intake?

I'm helping a friends brother finish up a 6 bolt JDM swap (with 1g USD intake) in his 2g and was wounder how we could hook up the map sensor?

From what i understand all a map sensor dose is read intake pressure and calculates the amount of fuel required for the engine at that time.

So can we just (T) it into a vacume line off of the intake manifold, and call it good? or do we have to custom fabricate the MAP to the intake?

They call that sensor a manifold differential sensor, it is just used for emissions. You can just run a vacuum line to it, if you can get one to stay on the thing. Otherwise, let it hang or unplug it, it will throw a check engine light, but it doesn't do anything. Your biggest problem might be the random misfire error, if that starts poping up on his.
